Yaki Faitelson, Chief Executive Officer, President, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board

Yaki is responsible for leading the management, strategic direction and execution of the Varonis vision. With extensive cross-functional experience in storage, networking, operating systems and application software, Yaki saw the necessity and opportunity for next-generation data management and protection automation. Together, he and Ohad Korkus conceived and architected the MetaData Framework technology that now serves as the foundation for the Varonis Data Security Platform and are creators of numerous patents for permissions visualization, simulation, and data analysis. Under his leadership, Varonis has experienced hyper growth, cultivated a worldwide installation base, and forged a leading position in the data governance market. Prior to Varonis, Yaki held leadership positions in the global professional services and systems integration divisions of NetVision and Network Appliance.

Guy Melamed, Chief Financial Officer and
Chief Operating Officer

Guy serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Varonis. He is responsible for global operations, executing business strategies and financial management, including legal, treasury, investor relations and purchasing. Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer, Guy served in various finance roles within the company since 2011, most recently as Vice President of Finance, during which time he was responsible for financial planning, reporting and operations and was instrumental in building and managing the global finance organization. Prior to joining Varonis, Guy held positions at Ernst & Young as an Audit Manager and KPMG, working with both foreign and domestic public and private companies. Guy holds both a B.A and M.S.A. from Boston College and is a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. and Israel.

David Bass, Executive Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer

David is responsible for all of Varonis’ product development and quality assurance. Under his leadership, the company has assembled a world-class engineering organization with deep experience spanning digital collaboration, storage, networking and security. Prior to Varonis, he held managerial development positions in NetVision Internet Applications, and as an independent contractor.

Gilad Raz, CIO and Vice President of
Technical Services

As Vice President of Technical Support, Professional Services and IT, Gilad is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through successful deployment and continued operation of Varonis products. Prior to Varonis, he held roles at Network Appliance and NetVision where he assisted customers with highly technical pre and post-sales deployments of networking and storage infrastructure.

Dana Shahar, Chief Human Resources Officer

Dana is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at Varonis from recruiting to employee relations, leadership and organizational development. Prior to Varonis, Dana lead “Intoto Solutions”- an HR consulting company providing HR services and consulting to small businesses. Prior to that, she served as VP of Human Resources at Radcom where she led HR activities for nine years. Dana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Behavioral Science and a Masters in Social Psychology from Bar-Ilan University.

David Gibson, Chief Marketing Officer

David has more than 20 years of technology and marketing experience. He is responsible for building brand awareness, aligning product innovations with market demand, and driving sales through marketing, communications and educational initiatives. David joined Varonis in 2006. Prior to Varonis, David was a systems engineer for Tripwire, and worked as a network management and security engineer at International Integrated Solutions. David is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and speaks on topics related to cybersecurity and technology best practices. He frequently speaks at industry conferences and has been quoted in The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post and numerous security news sources.

Yzhar Kayser, Chief Architect

Yzhar is the Chief Architect of Research & Development at Varonis, leading the development of the architecture roadmap at Varonis. Formerly the Director of Core Engineering, Yzhar has been with Varonis for over 10 years, developing new methods to classify and analyze enterprise data, and also has over 20 years’ experience in developing high volume backend distributed software, specializing in both startup and enterprise environments. Yzhar holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Business Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Jim O'Boyle, Senior Vice President of
Worldwide Sales

Jim is responsible for developing and growing the Varonis business through high performance sales teams and strategic channel partnerships in worldwide markets. Prior to joining Varonis, he held leadership roles at Neoteris/Netscreen (acquired by Juniper), BlueCoat Systems, and Wellfleet/Bay Networks (acquired by Nortel). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Scranton.

Seth J. Gerson, Vice President and
General Counsel

Seth is responsible for legal and compliance matters at Varonis. Prior to joining Varonis, he was a Senior Corporate Counsel in the legal department at Amdocs for seven years. Prior to that, Seth was a partner in the Corporate Department of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, a leading international law firm. Seth holds a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

Gilad Gam, Vice President of
Customer Experience

Gilad is responsible for post-sales customer experience, ensuring that customers who purchased the Varonis product suite will see immediate and long-term value from their investment. His previous Varonis experience covers pre-sales, professional services, and sales enablement. Before joining Varonis, he held several positions managing professional services teams for iPhrase, Banter and Vocaltec communications. He started his career as a technical officer in the Israeli Air Force. Gilad holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

Kevin Comolli has served as a director since December 2004. Mr. Comolli is a partner at Accel Partners, a global venture capital and growth equity firm. Mr. Comolli also serves as a director of Alfresco Software Inc., Supercell and several private companies.

John Gavin Jr., Director

John J. Gavin, Jr. has served as a director since 2013. Mr. Gavin is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of financial and operational management experience. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President and CFO for leading data center automation software provider BladeLogic. Prior to joining BladeLogic, Gavin served as the CFO for several companies, including Data General Corporation, Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP) and NaviSite, Inc. Mr. Gavin also serves as a director of Broadsoft, Inc., Vistaprint Ltd. and Qlik Technologies Inc.

Gili Iohan, Director

Ms. Iohan has served as a director since 2017. Ms. Iohan served as the first Chief Financial Officer for Varonis. During her twelve year tenure, she was responsible for finance, accounting, back office operations and human resources. Prior to Varonis, she was a partner at NextAge LTD for six years, a firm specializing in providing customized budgeting and controllership environments, strategic business planning and structuring, financial and accounting issue resolution for businesses of all sizes. While at NextAge LTD, Ms. Iohan served as a Chief Financial Officer and Strategic Financial Consultant for several companies, including Varonis. Prior to her tenure at NextAge LTD, Ms. Iohan served as a Senior Financial Manager at M-Systems, and held a position at KPMG. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and MBA in Economics and Accounting from Tel-Aviv University.

Ohad Korkus, Director and Co-Founder

Mr. Korkus, together with Mr. Faitelson, conceived and architected the metadata framework technology that now serves as the foundation for the Varonis Data Governance Suite, and is the creator of several patents for permissions visualization, simulation, and data analysis. Mr. Korkus has served as a director since 2007 and also served as Varonis’ Chief Technology Officer from 2007 until February 2018. His background spans multiple technical disciplines including storage, networking, operating systems and software development. Prior to Varonis, Mr. Korkus was responsible for architecture, design and development of solutions in NetVision and Network Appliance.

Tom Mendoza, Vice Chairman of NetApp, Inc.

Tom Mendoza has served as a director since June 2015. Mr. Mendoza has been the Vice Chairman of NetApp, Inc., a storage and data management solutions provider, since March 2008. From October 2000 to March 2008, Mr. Mendoza was president of NetApp, Inc. Prior to March 2000, he served in various capacities at NetApp, Inc., including senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing, senior vice president, worldwide sales and vice president, North American sales. Mr. Mendoza has over thirty years of operational experience he gained from holding various executive positions at technology companies, including a publicly traded company. Mr. Mendoza has served as a director of ServiceSource International, Inc. since March 2011 and has also served as a director of many other technology companies.

Rona Segev-Gal, Partner, TLV Partners

Rona Segev-Gal has served as a director since December 2004. Ms. Segev-Gal is a partner at TLV Partners, an early stage venture capital fund. Prior to TLV Partners, Ms. Segev-Gal served as a general partner at Pitango Venture Capital, a partner at Evergreen Venture Partners and as Vice President of Business Development at BRM Technologies Ltd. Ms. Segev-Gal also serves as a director of several private companies.

Ofer Segev, Director

Ofer Segev has served as a director since February 2015. Mr. Segev has over 25 years of management experience in the high-tech and services sectors. He most recently served as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of AudioCodes Limited, a company publicly traded on the NASDAQ Global Select Market. Prior to AudioCodes, Mr. Segev served at different times as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and as a director of Ness Technologies Srl. Mr. Segev has also been the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of various other companies, including Attunity, and was a partner at Ernst & Young.

Fred van den Bosch, Director

Fred van den Bosch has served as a director since 2013. Mr. van den Bosch is the CEO of Librato, Inc. Previously he served as CEO of PANTA Systems, Inc., as Executive Vice President Engineering, CTO and Director at VERITAS Software, Inc, and in various engineering and management positions at the Computer Systems Division of Philips Electronics. Mr. van den Bosch also serves as a director of Librato Inc. and Neebula Systems Ltd., and as a partner at Atlantic Capital Partners.
